“An internal report suggested that the 👉🏼controller on duty during the late-night accident was doing a job usually handled by two people👈🏼. The collision between a jet and an Army helicopter killed 67 people, whose bodies were being recovered from the icy Potomac.”

“It really blows my mind that they actually hit each other — it’s nuts,” Mike Sagely said.

@GottaLaff
Might just be my imagination but my heart breaks for what I perceive as the strain on the faces of the NTSB folks at this news conference.

I can’t imagine the horror of having my future in the hands of Demented Donnie the (wannabe) Dictator.

@GottaLaff I feel for the air traffic controllers, trying to keep people safe against the odds. Not their fault that government and senior management have cut funding to the bone.

@GottaLaff@mstdn.social @Fonant@social.vivaldi.net Yup. And yet to Repugnicans, it's still somehow THEIR fault when things go wrong.

@zakalwe It's always someone else's fault if anything goes wrong... never their own. Ever. @Fonant

@GottaLaff @zakalwe @Fonant We’ve got to make it stick - the guy who wants to control everything becomes responsible for everything.

@GottaLaff

The leaked material may be accurate. But it does not mean that workload affected this catastrophic event.

That's one reason this material should not have leaked. Somebody's leaking dirt we shouldn't know about yet. It could get people hurt, too.

@GottaLaff

Who released the report? At this stage of the investigation, it's most likely to distract and manipulate opinion, not inform it.
