@DemocracyMattersALot logically they can’t and won’t stop until America is an out and out theocracy: it’s pretty much what the bible says and is certainly their interpretation of it. Well the interpretation that claim anyway: I strongly suspect none of the people at the topic pushing for anti- everyone else bills have the slightest actual faith or belief in a real deity.
Which leads to a two-pronged issue: people are gullible enough (in this modern world) to believe in a god in the first place and that seems to unfortunate lead to them believing these arseholes ALSO believe and are on the side of the same deity.
@fionasboots @DemocracyMattersALot i grew up with these freaks. in school, they tell boys to literally get the highest education and highest rank in your career so you'll have power to enforce Christianity in the workplace and government. your female duty is to birth so many babies that the "pagan Muslims" and Jews won't outbreed good, white Christians. people think this is hyperbole: it's fucking not. i was taught queers should go into concentration camps. this is just the beginning.
@ergifruit @DemocracyMattersALot I guess the scary thing is that many women buy into that garbage. It would likely come to an end fairly quickly without a supply of people to corrupt/manipulate. So sorry you had to grow up in that environment, I hope you’ve managed to escape to somewhere better!
i lucked out— the religious "school" i attended didn't do high school. if it did, i wouldn't be here right now. my ma never realized how bad it was; she's a pissed off lefty, now, thank the gods. but now there's gonna be thousands more kids trapped in those places thanks to the "parent's choice" school vouchers. and i know the religious homeschool kids had it a hundred times worse than the bog standard Southern Baptist cult :/
