That argument is made about guns, but the insurance industry has demonstrated they'll make money at healthcare and they'll make money on vehicular violence

So I'm sceptical the insurance industry will help with anything

@BlueWall I was thinking that by pulling out of the business in affected areas (florida, Texas, Louisiana), or making insurance far, far more expensive, the government may be pressured into acting. “May”, being the operative word, cause they don’t really give a fuck anyway.

I gotta say, folks in safer regions of the country won't take well to bailing out climate change disasters over and over. If insurance won't cover it, that's a pretty good clue it's not viable.

Especially my region which is losing population to those which are most in danger.
