That time I caught a flat on a rail trail after dark with 5km to go so decided to just pump up loads to get me through but I was running these garbage continental tubes with a threaded valve core for some reason and when removing my pump the valve core unthreaded and the pressure blasted it into the darkness so I inflated again and zip tied my pump inside the spokes and it fucking worked. Urge to go tubeless intensifies. #BikeTooter @bikes
@ssamulczyk@mstdn.social@christ One advice, I guess. It that's not your only bike, you better ride it often. Tubeless doesn't like just sitting around.
I went tubeless once. Lasted for about 3 months and when it was time for a service, the mess it created discouraged me completely from keeping the setup.
Washed the rims, replaced the tires and went back to good old tubes...
