13 hours in and I’m not feeling it. =(
@renwillis I played 3rd a couple years ago (and most of the rest of the series since). It's definitely a weird one.
I think it does pick up somewhat as you get deeper. Trails loves its slow build up plots where nothing happens or is explained for awhile in the beginning, and this one is disconnected enough from Sky 1 and 2 that it's almost a story arc unto itself so that hits hard here.
But really the main meat of 3 is its side stories. Lots of juicy side character and other tangential lore.
@squipo They do love a slow burn, which is what I love about Trails! But doesn’t feel like that. It’s normally a slow burn of a growing larger story, where this feels like a bottle episode.
They are great for character dev but the story itself isn’t connecting and driving me forward.
It’s okay! I can watch & read the lore online. I put on CS4 and was sucked immediately in!
