I'm not going to be connecting my WordPress.com blog to the fediverse this time because I feel like it made everything confusing having a Mastodon account *and* a blog on the fediverse.
@noellemitchell@mstdn.social That's why I do everything over on one main account. I just keep my alts in case this server goes down or something.
@NumbersCanBeFun I don't have any alts, unless having an old Mastodon account I moved over to here from counts.
@noellemitchell@mstdn.social I have them from doing my videos on the topics. I thought about closing them but you never know
@NumbersCanBeFun That makes sense. I like being on mstdn.social so I don't really feel the need to make other accounts.
@noellemitchell@mstdn.social Nah no reason too. I also looked into the wordpress thing and decided against mixing it in with my Mastodon account back when I was still over there.
@NumbersCanBeFun Yeah it makes everything confusing to keep separate from each other
@noellemitchell One technique I did was to specifically name my #wordpress federated blog something specifically different than my personal accounts. But yes, having multiple federated accounts in the future (Wordpress, Masto, for some, Threads) will be a thing to manage, and I do think having them all use rel=me to verify that they are all yours may be one fix.
