@chat What happens when I simply mention a Lemmy community from Mastodon?
I hope this test isn’t considered abuse, lemmy.one, feel free to delete the post (if this creates a post at all…)
Testing in 3…2…1… ;)
@chat ah, there it is: https://lemmy.one/post/4093
so it's kinda works, cool. I'm still trying to understand the concept of "post ownership" here.
So I can create a Lemmy post without having a Lemmy account. Only the `@communityname` seems a bit ugly.
(Again, sorry for talking to myself here :)
There is no #boardgames community, yet. I think I'd prefer that on Lemmy over the guppe thingies.
@chat another small observation: if I create a reply but without the at-mention, it will not appear on the Lemmy page (see this previous reply on Mastodon: https://mstdn.social/@kommadieb/110477086388216810)
@kommadieb and what happens when I reply here on Mastodon?
@fathermcgruder I can read it
This seems strange to me. I believe that is not a requirement for the comment/post to be federated. I am not sure why the previous post did not federate, though.
@Adda ok, let me test here again. once with the "at"…
and once without the "at"
now both came though
Yep. Much better. Glad it works now. Have fun.
@kommadieb @chat another test. This is @Kurt, btw.
good things will happen!
