Just watched The Substance.
Even though George Miller made another Mad Max-saga - THIS is my favorite film this year.
letterboxd.comA ★★★★★ review of The Substance (2024)Well, this was intense. I feel like I have been cleansed and need a shower at the same time. I like to say that I am at a loss of words, but I could absolutely go on about this for HOURS if you let me. I could go on for an hour just about the use of closeups here. How the foley artist should just get an Oscar mailed to them right now. Demi Fucking MOORE. I just don't want to spoil anything, I just want you to trust me and go see the film if you haven't seen it.

Yah, at a certain point it's so gross you want it to stop, but it just keeps going and going...

@kcarr2015 @JanneFantastic yeah, I’m not going to watch it bc I probably couldn’t handle it. I really wanted it to be what it appeared to be from the trailer. Please dm me what’s so terrible about it.
