I'm an economist (PhD, 2000, UW-Madison) and Professor of Health Policy and Administration at Penn State, where I lead the PhD program. My research is somewhat eclectic; I consider myself a methodological developer and translator - primarily in Bayesian methods for the evaluation of health care interventions, but I also care deeply about population health policy.
I'm a husband and dad to two amazing kids. I roast coffee and play guitar and chess (both poorly) in my spare time.
