Green Growth? Only within Degrowth

First published at @steadystatemcr, 5 Dec, 2024. Green Growth is often promoted as the solution to the joint problems of the climate and ecological crisis and crisis in livelihoods and prosperity. The idea is simple, boost the clean, renewable bits of the economy to ensure cleaner energy, less resource extraction, secure decent jobs. Nice idea, but can you really grow in a finite world?
