@ZhiZhu Indeed! #SocialMedia is infested with #bots repeating the same #fakenews and #disinformation until it is perceived as facts. However, I do see a beginning of a shift of the default position (people believe anything they see or hear) to. 'people are sceptctal about anything they see or hear.
Belief depends a lot on the source. You are far more likely to believe everything you hear from a source you trust than from one that are unfamiliar with or already distrust.
That's why major news media "normalizing" certain opinions is so dangerous. So many people trust those news orgs. Being "fair and balanced" with liars is doing a disservice to their readers. It's exposing them to repeated lies.
Journalists should be more concerned with being fair to their readers than to liars.
