I like to post something like this every now and again to remind me how far I have come.
In 2019 my old life ended, nearly literally. In Spring 2020, it began again, much to my surprise.
My little yard very much reflects how my mind works: it is built from broken, discarded things, but is ordered, growing and full of unusual delight.
Pictures: the back yard of the house I moved in to in 2020, back then, and now. Every item, the pots, containers, compost & plants has been scavenged.

Thank you!
It is beautiful, and I think everyone needs a little personal space.
I am new to Mastodon having left toxic Twitter, following you, any chance of a Follow back?

Done. And welcome.
That's amazing, great work!
May Pilar* be with you

Aw, thank you!
Next year will be a refinement. I've extended into the alleyway and then on to the allotment. I'll plant bigger stuff out and leave more room for garden plants.
So much space on the allotment, it will be filled with rescue plants, I just need to find them! (I will, the alleyways are full of half dead plants in spring).
I can relate to Pliar. It is wise to listen to bees, as it is wise to listen to all creatures.
@MostlyTato
You have really transformed that space, it looks really inviting - for people and wildlife. Will be interested to see your allotment's progress.
@MostlyTato
Wow! I look forward to seeing your progress. Due to health issues our flower garden got rather neglected for a couple of years. We are slowly trying to resurrect it at the moment. Winter is a good time to tackle gardening jobs, it's easier to see what needs doing when there's less growth. Nice to be outside too, if it weren't for gardening I'd be sitting indoors and my back would be getting stiffer! Enjoy your gardening, you've made big progress, and any hints much appreciated.
