I really liked Mastodon.
I really thought he had a cool future.
But now my second account has been blocked for me because I indicated Patreon.
Nowhere in the rules was this mentioned. Just the server admin decided so.
I spent a month of my life on the account, brought a lot of friends to the project.
It's a shame when your work can be destroyed in one moment.
Competitors (such as Twitter) can specifically create servers and delete pages registered with Mastodon.

@Lost_World what? With no chance to appeal? I know we had suspended one user registration for creating a double account once (a micro instance) but the appeal made it reinstate. I see no reason why a Patreon page should be blocked O_O (sorry to hear that though)

@Lost_World That is quite awful. I saw it from some other people who had to migrate to instances that allow ads. Creators want to live, too, and as long as there is real content and not only ads i think there is real value. I think @marthawells moved to this wandering shop instance as well as @Annalee from the peeps i follow, maybe that would be an option for you as well?
I’m really sorry and this is so unfortunate. My instance too has been ‘blocked’ or as they say, ‘Suspended’ from mastodon.art because some Admin of that instance thought that I’m a ‘fan’ of @alex ‘Fan’ because I’ve been recommending Soapbox + Rebased which Alex has created. It’s a great piece of software so what’s wrong in recommending it?
Another reason cited was ‘recommends Spinster’: I did because I was trying to help some lady out here who was looking for a Feminist oriented instance. And Bam, “Suspended because the admin recommends Spinster”.
Enough rant and I don’t need to explain myself because I find it laughable. However, big Instances/Servers being run on the whims and fancies of Instance Admins will be the downfall of the Federation. It defeats the entire purpose.
End note: Suspended means I can no longer see posts from the instance on the timeline of my instance.

@Deus Why would you recommend something you haven't checked out? Separately, being immature about this isn't likely to make anything better for you.
You do realize it’s behind a registration wall, right? Google (without the quotes) ‘feminist oriented instance server fediverse’ for yourself and see the results.
As a photographer I'd have more sympathy if you credited the photographer's of the work you are "borrowing" to create your endeavour

+1 for creator crediting, source citing & AltText adding. Your posts are about cool topics but are otherwise wholly inconsiderate.
Posting other people's work without permission and creator credit is called "Theft", & you've done it A Lot.
I suspect your account issues most likely have nothing whatsoever to do with your Patreon.
Posting screenshots of your posts in your posts is not helpful. Please show us the "Your account is blocked" message they sent you.

@Lost_World Have you talked to your local admin about it? It could be a mistake. If that fails, then try a different instance. There are some 8000 or more Mastodon servers. If you don't like the one you're on, move to a different one.
Save your breath. Pick up the pieces and start somewhere else, which is stable, and supports free speech. You'll less likely to get banned.
If you're one of the more technical people, just deploy your own instance, it doesn't cost much. You'll be your own ruler.
