@melroy @tinkralge isn't mbin a fork of the abandonned kbin ?
Yes Mbin is a fork of kbin. Why?
@melroy @tinkralge i wasn't sure, thanks
I created the fork, so if you have any follow-up question, just let me know ;)
@melroy @tinkralge i've seen many peoples comparing it to lemmy, what's the differences ?
Mbin support quite a lot of activitypub protocols, including PeerTube even.
Mbin also support microblogs like Mastodon, all within the same web frontend.
Mbin has quite a impressive moderation features, while we are still improving that.
Mbin has a very different user-interface, which I like much much better than Lemmy UI.
Mbin also has tons of user-side options to fine-tune the UI, like endless scrolling move the menu to the left-side, themes, pade width, sticky navbar, etc etc.
Mbin is developed by a developers who aren't Lemmy core devs (I'm not going into more details here).
Mbin has a very complete API, allowing app developers like Interstellar to develop apps around Mbin instances.
Mbin is still in heavy development, we implement tons of new features, frontend improvements and bugfixes and single week.
Mbin embraces the C4 specification for contributors, meaning that every person could become a core developer.
@melroy @tinkralge what do you mean by lemmy core dev ?
@melroy @tinkralge Im a hexbear user. I've never seen any claim about it. Weirdly when liberals are supporting israel it's "political opinion".
@HerNameIsTitou I mean it is? I'm a liberal tho
It's different to deny genocide and deny the extince of the country, I think Armenian genocide happened and is bad, but I don't deny Turkey's right to exist?
@Fitik @tinkralge @melroy That's the difference between you and me, i support the palestinians and deny the existence of israel
Maybe we just should be positive here, we are all humans. We only live once and I didn't go to the fediverse for this kind of politics.
@melroy @tinkralge @Fitik everything is political, and the "we are all humans" dosn't work for thoses discriminating the others
