Good indicator that neither Trump nor top Republicans have much expectation of ever again having to face the voters. In fact, Trump repeatedly promised this would be the last election during his campaign.

I honestly cannot understand someone who would vote for Trump and then be surprised at the result. Who are these people and how do they survive on a daily basis?

I'm not yet ready to feel sympathetic to the people who chose to burn it all down and now are finding themselves getting singed by the fires. Maybe I'll become more enlightened later ...

Gross error. Wrong choice that will cost the US dearly. Trust in alliances has already been broken. The destruction of international organizations is already a fait accompli. Trump is so much more disruptive than even Putin, his idol, could have imagined. Trump is a brainless egomaniac.
