ugh. I hate how this word flattens out and erases the fact of what's happening. Eviscerate, not reshape, is more like it. It's too late, I'm afraid, to ask WaPo to do better, but not too late to encourage people who have not already done so to cancel their subscription given the perpetual use of semantic blandness that reduces the media to 47's stenographer. Okay, I need to calm down and watch some Nordic Noir.
