The Kremlin on Tuesday praised Trump's “balanced position” after the US voted with Russia at the United Nations to avoid condemnation of Moscow’s campaign against Ukraine.

Trump, who was recruited by Russia's KGB in the 1980s, has a Russian codename of Krasnov

"I am Krasnov"

@Free_Press
I tend to disregard the view that Trump is an acknowledgeable agent of Russia. He is so stupid that Russia can achieve their objective much more easily with him by guile and deceit.

Trump is the epitome of a useful idiot.

I believe I saw the KGB in action for recruitment, in the basement dining room of the Russio Hotel, Moscow, in 1978. If one's antenna is up AT ALL, they're still pretty transparent. The man was using the Wilt Chamberlain technique, before Wilt lent a name to it (pretending to be from nearby one's hometown, with vaguely ascertainable facts, to form a connection).

@skydog @Free_Press Yes, but what more effort than that, would they need in order to recruit him? He's an imbecile, and completely for sale.
There's no requirement for the asset to understand that they've been recruited. The orange clown has been bought and sold a dozen times over, by media entities, dodgy stock brokers, the mob, and always deluded himself into believing he's the one in charge to soothe his pathetically fragile ego.
He's the easiest recruitment mark to ever walk the earth.

@Free_Press I know that there is a former Soviet spy claiming this, but I don't believe it, because if he were a controlled agent he'd be less stupid and blatant about his pro-Russian position. He's just what the Russians call a "useful idiot", who adores dictators and is easily manipulated.

That said, I suppose it is possible that the KGB had a code name for him, not because he was a knowing spy but because they were manipulating him.

@not2b Joe, I appreciate your feedback, but... look at Trump's actions towards Putin in both of his administrations. Remember 2017 when he publicly stated he believed Putin over his own intelligence agencies... Trump has done nothing but bend his knee to Putin. I appreciate your time and feedback, thank you for adding to the discussion! - Aure

@Free_Press This could all be true, and he's certainly their puppet, but there's a serious "They're indulging in conspiracies, so why don't we?" vibe here. 🤢

@Free_Press There you go that should be enough to bury the guy, literally.

… who may or may not have been…

Do you have evidence?

“Simply put, an agent is a partner for life, whereas an asset is a friend with benefits. And, most likely, if Trump has been one of the two, it’s the latter.“
