Glasgow Pavement parking ban comes into force
Just double-checking though yes it seems obvious, does the UK refer to the sidewalk as “pavement”?
How is this not already a thing? The pavement is not the street, don’t put your personal vehicle on it I mean is it that difficult?
Pretty sure it’s illegal in NYC too but it’s absolutely everywhere. The biggest culprits are, I surprisingly, cops
@Witchfire @Soup it's illegal in London but not elsewhere in the UK. The stupid thing, though, is that it's illegal everywhere in the UK to *drive* on the pavement. But you can't punish the driver of a stationary car for driving on the pavement if you didn't see them do it. Technically maybe they flew? Airlifted in?
(Plus also enforcement of most driving infractions is super lax here)
