The #Youngbloods were an American #RockBand consisting of #JesseColinYoung (vocals, bass, guitar), #JerryCorbitt (vocals, guitar, keyboards, harmonica), #LowellLevinger (guitar and electric piano), and #JoeBauer (drums). Despite receiving critical acclaim, they never achieved widespread popularity. Their only #USTop40 entry was #ChetPowers' "#GetTogether".

Daily #SteveKimock. No secret that my favorite period is the last SKB lineup. Here’s a cut from 2005 at the #HouseOfBlues. Steve is playing an Octave #Mandolin given to him by Zero bandmate #Banana (#YoungBloods).
Daily #SteveKimock. A fun take on the #bluegrass classic Devil’s Reel, renamed Mr. Potato Head. Steve is playing the #OctaveMandolin that Banana (from the #Youngbloods and #Zero) gave him.
After playing the finger-twisting bluegrass head a few times they go places you just wouldn’t expect.

#Youngbloods frontman #JesseColinYoung continued with a pretty commercially successful solo career throughout the 70s (and continues releasing music independently to this day), showcasing his voice, which a #Hartford DJ once characterized as “a rare and beautiful thing,” to its best advantage in softer acoustic songs, prefigured on Elephant Mountain in ‘Sunlight,” which he continued to play live as a solo artist.
