You will also retain complete control of your creative work, allowing you to discount your books, give them away, bundle them together, and so on and so forth, without any repercussions from exploitative, rapacious middlemen. Stick it to the man!

Of course, there are readers who would like to buy your work, who wouldn't know what to do with an ePub file if it dropped down from heaven on a properly formatted thumbdrive. For these people, the accessible option is where they already buy books, which in most cases will still be Amazon.

But give the punters a choice, innit?
