Wild blackberry season has started with a vengeance. There are millions this year, good size ones, too, from all the rain. Plenty for us and the birds. Horrible to pick, of course. These ones were sown for us by the birds, years ago, and we just tend them and #harvest , freeze and eat throughout the year.

Exciting find: stumbled across a massive tangle of black #raspberry stalks next to the old grain bin out back. Picked 3 cups of them and there are at least that many more still getting ripe. #wildfruit #nativeplants
