Wie geht es eigentlich meiner kleinen Zwerg- #Seerose ?
Sie hat den Winter einigermaßen gut überstanden, und hat einen Haufen Junge bekommen.
Ich hab zu Beginn den Fehler gemacht, zu häufig das Wasser zu wechseln, aus Angst vor Algen. Aber eine gewisse Menge an Algenwachstum ist weniger schlimm, als der ständige Wasserwechsel.
Ume no Miya Taisha (梅宮大社) is a rather hard to reach Shintō shrine in western Kyōto. Its history seems embellished, but I've seen how the locals pitch in for festivals, and there is a frequent sound and occasional sight of big birds like herons nesting atop the tall trees. That is because of the pond, the kind of place I especially like in Kyōto, with well tended plants and old teahouses. This season the highlights are irises (菖蒲), water lilies (睡蓮), and hydrangeas (紫陽花). The rainy season started this afternoon, so I went there in the morning.
These water lilies in Battersea Park’s Old English Garden caught my eye after yesterday’s rain. The droplets on the lily pads created such beautiful textures against the still water. This walled garden is one of London’s quieter spaces - perfect for contemplation on a spring afternoon. Shot on iPhone, no filters needed when nature provides such perfect compositions.
I wonder if the neighbors appreciate the midnight symphonies so graciously provided by this gentleman and his buddies.
