Darby Creek winds through the Philly suburbs, feeding the Delaware River. Stocked with trout in spring, they’re usually gone by June. No wild trout, and downstream sections may have water quality issues. But it's my favorite stream😊

Good morning. 😴🫘☕

Sometimes in the morning, when Ben is barking at the door, I stay in bed, hoping he'll stop, but he never does. He doesn't stop until he sees light from beneath the bedroom door. He's been getting bossy in his old age. Eventually, I get up, put my pants on, brush my teeth, and let the dogs out—just in case you're wondering who. I fully intend to kick back in my recliner when they come back in, but the little bit of moving around that I do wakes me up enough that I end up grabbing a cup of coffee and coming into my office to write to you. Ben, on the other hand, comes in and goes right back to sleep. Charlie does too, for that matter, and step one for the day is complete.

Good morning. 🌿🍂🍃

I was once again awakened out of a deep sleep this morning; Ben was moving around in the bedroom. I stumbled out of bed and opened the bedroom door Ben rushed out and Charlie rushed in. I touched my teeth with a toothbrush, then went to let the dogs out - in case you're wondering who. My brain was only half awake at this point, so I blundered around, went to make coffee and had to fill the coffee grinder. For some reason I grabbed a small box marked Dark Chocolate Expresso Beans and poured them into the grinder - I guess that I was trying something different. I then had chocolate candy in the grinder, so had to stop and clean the grinder. Today is not Monday, is it?
