My goodness, did these people fall out of Liverpool c. 1979? ...after being locked in a dark room listening to Velvet Underground ever since? Then I found that they took their name from the NYC club that hosted some of <a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/Nico" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#Nico</a>’s earliest performances - and she’s <a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/German" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#German</a>, and was of course with the <a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/VelvetUnderground" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#VelvetUnderground</a>, and it all made sense.And so I give you The Blue Angel Lounge with “Bewitch My Senses” from their second studio album, “Narcotica” (2010)<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PCNlqPLvTfQ&list=RDPCNlqPLvTfQ&start_radio=1" rel="nofollow noopener" translate="no" target="_blank">https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PCNlqPLvTfQ&list=RDPCNlqPLvTfQ&start_radio=1</a><a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/psychedelic" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#psychedelic</a>

It sounds somewhere between the <a href="https://post.lurk.org/tags/VelvetUnderground" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#VelvetUnderground</a> & <a href="https://post.lurk.org/tags/Nico" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#Nico</a> and the <a href="https://post.lurk.org/tags/MothersFreakOut" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#MothersFreakOut</a>! -- but even more unknown then both those groups (imagine that!). Only ~200 copies were made on initial release and it has never been officially reissued on any format. This was probably 1986, back when you could not just summon some new music to listen to unless you or your mate owned some of it. I had read all about the band, and how influential they were, but I didn't know where to start. My decision was purely an economic one - White Light/White Heat was the cheapest LP. I still remember the excitement of hearing each track on it - I knew I had crossed a Rubicon with this purchase.
