Guten Abend @kuketzblog. Das erinnert mich an die Problematik #Vanadium Browser und t0 dot gstatic dot com, welche ich im Forum veröffentlicht hatte.

Diese Kontaktversuche finden auch dann statt, wenn ich diesen #Browser auf meinem Pixel 7a mit #GrapheneOS nur für #Leta, deinen Blog und dein Forum nutze. Exakt 16 Versuche - nicht mehr und nicht weniger. Das ist schon deshalb merkwürdig, weil ich scheinbar der einzige mit dieser Erfahrung bin.

Dank #RethinkDNS verliere ich das Vertrauen in diesen Browser nicht vollends.

Heute bei Utiq die Trackingsperre für ein weiteres Jahr eingeschaltet. Mit #GrapheneOS nicht so einfach, denn da scheitert schon das Captcha an der eingebauten Sicherheit. Mit #Vanadium und #IronFox war ich so gut geschützt, dass ich nicht "als Mensch" erkannt wurde.
Erst als ich Firefox Klar installierte, konnte ich deren Werbewut widersprechen.

Kennt sich jemand mit #SAML aus?

Ich hab das Problem, dass ich mich in #Friendica mittels SAML auf keycloak authentifiziere.
Und ich muss mich oft bei jedem Blick auf die Webapp anmelden... 10, 15x am Tag.
Das nervt.

Ist das normal bei Saml?

Die OIDC-Logins vom selben keycloak-Server (Peertube, Nextcloud, Mobilizon) bleiben über Wochen und Monate aufrecht...

It took me installing GrapheneOS to learn about Vanadium, its Chromium-based browser. (Did you know about it?)

One would think that with the limited number of engines available, one would know all browsers at some point, but no 😉

(@frontenddogma has dedicated tags to a number of browsers, yet while that list is growing it is still not coming close…)

@kuketzblog Bin nach Jahrzehnten auch weg von Firefox. Auf dem Desktop nutze ich #Brave und mobil #Vanadium. Beides Chromium. Aber wenn Mozilla die Zeichen der Zeit nicht versteht (schlechtes bis gar kein Sandboxing), schlechte Entscheidungen trifft und diese auch schlecht kommuniziert, gehen sie leider den Weg des Irdischen. Fairerweise muss man sagen, dass sich meine Prioritäten verschoben haben, weg von möglichst vielen Add-ons, die Privatsphäre versprechen, hin zu mehr Sicherheit.

Obviously we don't want the mining done by the profit-obsessed corporatist sociopaths whose ecocidal views are represented in these articles. But if we can find environmentally sensitive ways to obtain this mineral, for use in grid-scale flow batteries, this could make a significant contribution to our energy independence.

Introducing the concept of 'flow batteries', and exploring their potential use in large-scale energy storage. It explains why using Vanadium could make safer, easily recyclable, and much cheaper grid-scale batteries;

Es wurde #LibreWolf. Mobil #Vanadium auf #GrapheneOS.

Ist auch vermutlich eine gute Wahl aus #privacy & #security-Perspektive.

Allerdings gibt's bei LibreWolf das Problem, dass fast alle Zeitangaben nur noch in #UTC dargestellt werden. Besonders lästig bei Chats, Version Control Systems, Kalender, ... im Browser. Könnte man auch disablen aber offenbar nur als größeres Paket von an sich sinnvollen Anti-Tracking-Maßnahmen.

Diverse Workarounds haben bei mir bislang nicht funktioniert.

Meine Lösung aktuell: für diese Seiten, wo mir Zeitangaben wichtig sind, habe ich #Firefox (mit diversen Privacy-add-ons).

Das Wichtigste ist ohnehin in jedem #Browser #NoScript.

* Bitwarden (vaultwarden)

Self hosted Nextcloud & vaultwarden to tie it all together.

Not a graceful stack but it works.
