Gute Nacht, Valheim!

It's been a while since I was able to play. But I'm back, and it's great - I finally found the third Seeker Soldier Trophy!

That means we're gearing up for the big Queen battle, and I made my Main the Mage armor. (Also made a few things for my friend.)

Gathering refined eitr to use a poison on the mobs. Marked a path over terrible terrain to make getting back to the Temple easier.

This will be an exciting weekend.

So, no screen shot to share (yet), but just wanted to say in #Valheim I focused on getting all caster gear, and it seems with all caster gear, the right food and the fire staff, I feel unstoppable.

#Valheim Day 34. Cowering, naked and afraid in my house during yet another animal uprising. My grave and all my upgraded kit is half a days march away, near the spawn point of a troll which I discovered while making a wide path to avoid another troll

The bees are happy, and so am I

OK, speaking of #Valheim
I've been playing on #Linux, using #Steam, in #Sway (#Wayland, obv.) and while I have an #NVidia GPU, it doesn't seem to be getting used? Yes, it's an older GPU, but even at around 10FPS on the lowest quality video settings, I'm consistently only getting about 12 FPS, which... it's less fun. It's still playable for somebody like me who is an old and doesn't really do a lot of high-FPS gaming or whatever (as you can tell) but I'm genuinely wondering what I'm doing wrong.

Anybody have any tips? The usual googling turns up lots of "won't launch" but that isn't the problem I'm having.

Oh gosh. Oh gosh.
#Valheim seems to have a somewhat usefully realistic 'point of sail' mechanic!
I built a raft, just to fart about, not really expecting that I'd have to do anything other than point it in a direction and just go, but to my delight, I had to actually account for the direction of the wind and set on a proper heading.
On the raft, tacking doesn't quite work, and I assume that this is either because a more-capable vessel is required, or because being in irons is being in irons, and the inertia of the boat may not be taken into account.
Given my experience in finding the point-of-sail mechanic - and pumping the rudder! - I am optimistic that maybe the next boat up will be able to tack.

Today in #Valheim, I completed a project I've been cooking up since I found out we can place individual stones now. A full, functional labyrinth. All harvested stone, no shortcuts.

There is a gjall moaning somewhere nearby, which kind of ruins any meditative calm one might otherwise get by treading the labyrinth.

I know what i need to do in the mistlands, I have to upgrade my gear (pretty much done), and find the seal breaker parts. That's what is making it so hard, I think those parts are only in the infested dungeons, and I am having a hell of a time finding those.. The mist makes it hard to see them, so I can easily just walk by one and not know it lol.

#Valheim can be annoying lol.
