Today I learned that people with my condition are highly resistant to local anesthesia (LA), especially lidocaine which is only effective 8% of the time (!!) for people like me. Now I'm questioning every dental procedure I've white knuckled (literally). I've always just thought that local anesthesia just kind of sucks and that the nerves in your teeth are always going to cause shooting pain during certain procedures. Goddammit.
