If I'd had to guess which member of an Amsterdam family had ended up on the cover of Time Magazine, I would not have guessed Laddie Sanford . . . nor would I have guessed it was for winning an English steeplechase. But I wouldn't have guessed he got fined for bringing too many dead ducks into New York, either.

I thought the weather sages were off the mark when they predicted inches of #snow in #UpstateNewYork last night. I was dead wrong. I could hear the trees cracking outside. I bet we lose power.
