big shoutout to @abcdw who helped improve the dev experience and tests of the project, #hacking on it is now a delight (with #guile #arei #ares on #emacs ).
system is much more modular now, organized, user overrides are easy, and there is a #wip #gruvbox theme support (apart from many more)

Decided to go all in for Windows 7 aesthetics for KDE... Installed this and made it basically Windows 7

However there are some parts of the documentation is not updated... besides the dependency for Fedora on the Git site, you will also need the following:

sudo dnf install kf6-knewstuff-devel kf6-knotifyconfig-devel \
  kf6-attica-devel kf6-krunner-devel kf6-kdbusaddons-devel \
  kf6-sonnet-devel plasma5support-devel plasma-activities-stats-devel

Reinstalled my computer with Garuda Linux. A much more fun way to delete the disk than dd ing it with zeros. The installation process is super smooth and the desktop is beautiful

Besides, I always wanted the user to be foo and the computer to be bar so that the prompt would say foo@bar

This is XFCE with the standard Adwaita theme and Win98SE icons. A nice, Windows2000-ish working environment without much ricing.. the Win98 icons alone make for such a clean simplicity IMHO. It's always a joy to work with this VM.. I'm mostly using it for network maintenance wherever I need it.
