Pickr<p>One of the longest running speaker ranges is getting a model made for the pool properly, as an updated Boom is floated as the Everboom. obrhoff<p>Remember when we were buying expensive in-ear headphones and Ultimate Ears (now a Logitech brand) was considered an audiophile premium brand?</p><p>I remember paying lots of money for some cheap plastic headphones where often the cord broke while using them.</p><p>While unboxing boxes (I just moved to a new place), I just found these still sealed Ultimate Ears 900. I remember I paid €300 for them, and these here were a repair.</p><p><a href="https://chaos.social/tags/audio" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>audio</span></a> <a href="https://chaos.social/tags/audiophile" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>audiophile</span></a> <a href="https://chaos.social/tags/ultimateears" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>ultimateears</span></a> <a href="https://chaos.social/tags/shure" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>shure</span></a> <a href="https://chaos.social/tags/inears" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>inears</span></a></p>
joschi<p>Let's pretend I got an <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/UltimateEars" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>UltimateEars</span></a> Megablast and I'd like to set it up, how could I do this without downgrading my <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Android" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Android</span></a> phone (Android 13)?</p><p>Is there an unofficial app or has at least the protocol been reversed engineered already?<br>Or is this a case of planned obsolescence?</p>
David<p>Picked up another pair of sports earphones in the hope that they would fit my ears and they just... don't.</p><p>As an audiologist, the difficulty that I have with this feels like something I should be able to fix, you know, professionally.</p><p>Any <a href="https://aus.social/tags/Audiophile" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Audiophile</span></a> or <a href="https://aus.social/tags/Audiology" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Audiology</span></a> peeps have any suggestions? I need something that avoids concha and tragus piercings in one ear and negotiates a small and windy meatal opening in both.</p><p>I don't have the money to drop on a pair of <a href="https://aus.social/tags/Etymotic" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Etymotic</span></a> Bluetooth customs right now, and the fact that <a href="https://aus.social/tags/UltimateEars" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>UltimateEars</span></a> still haven't released their customs/FIT range in Australia is intensely frustrating, but I'm willing to wait!</p>
