#Watson on CBS/Paramount+, started out terribly, but I had to watch it for Morris Chestnut. Over time, I felt the show got better and found its own groove. Chestnut as Dr. Watson does not disappoint. It’s no masterpiece, but it held my attention at times because of how absurd it could be. #TV People compare it to Sherlock Holmes and House, but I started to see it as an abstracted take doing its own thing, and that helped me to like it better. It got renewed for a S2. #tvReviews

Our latest TV series was Toxic Town (Netflix) a four-part series about the real life destructive effects of the clean-up of a British Steel plant in Corby, England. Dozens of babies were born with disabilities. Jody Whittaker as the a mother is sensational and surely must be a top contender for a BAFTA. Other actors are just as strong including Roy Kinnear as the lawyer and Brendan Coyle, late of Downton Abbey, as the corrupt Labour Party Councillor. Another fine piece of TV about the corrupt nature of so many British institutions.

Radio TimesToxic Town is this year's most infuriating watch – but that's precisely the pointIt's hard not to feel incensed after watching the Netflix drama.
