Joseph AndrianoMy most consistently used <a href="https://social.coop/tags/ios" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#ios</a> Mastodon app has been <a href="https://social.coop/tags/Tusker" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Tusker</a>. What I love about this app is how straightforward it is. It is efficient, works quickly and well, and the developer is really dedicated to the idea of digital wellness, keep things like reblog and favorite counts off of your timeline. I bring this up because the most recent TestFlight beta includes push notifications and they’re done quite well. It really adds another feather in Tusker’s cap.

However, a remaining gripe is how much battery it uses, even in an iPhone 15 Pro (39%) within 25 hours. <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Tusker" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Tusker</a> and <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Mastoot" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Mastoot</a> use a fraction of that (<10%). I know <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/IceCubesApp" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#IceCubesApp</a> has more features, but that’s a big difference. Either way, I’ve contributed to the apps and will continue to keep an eye on future updates. Thanks to all the devs for the vibrant third-party client ecosystem.
