star trek is a same-shit, different era representation of male dominated, misogynistic, hierarchial authoritarian control that's basically about colonizing the universe in a very traditional join us or die schema...with pretty cool effects and design concepts.

funny that's what warrants a flogging in times like these...but they did ask mho of the show overall 🖖🏾 #truce

Russia and Ukraine agree to Black Sea ceasefire deal.

The US has also pledged to help restore Russian agricultural exports, which have been crippled by international sanctions since the February 2022 invasion.

The agreement, reached after three days of deliberations clouded by skepticism, is the first of its kind since July 2022.

Ukraine set to meet US negotiators for Black Sea truce talks.

Ukrainian and US delegations are scheduled to meet on Tuesday in Riyadh on a limited Black Sea ceasefire proposal that Washington hopes will open the way for broader peace negotiations.

A team from Moscow who met with the US representatives in the Saudi capital yesterday described the talks as “not easy, but very useful” and said dialogue would “continue”.

Ukraine ceasefire: What do Russia, US, EU want?

Washington and Kyiv are both pushing for a ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine, but so far Russia has rejected the proposal.

What interests are at play here — for Russia, Ukraine, the United States and the EU?

In the link you mentioned, there is actually a completely different statement. They wrote about the presidential #election in relation to the 30-day #truce, not about the truce itself.

If we talk about the main question you wrote about - actually, #Ukraine has made many concessions in negotiations with the #US.

#Russia, on the other hand, continues to insist on its demands, which essentially amount to Ukraine’s #capitulation.

#Putin thanked #Trump and effectively #refused a #ceasefire. #Moscow openly #rejected the #US-#Ukraine 30-day #truce #proposal, calling it a tactic for #Ukrainian regrouping.

Putin demanded #surrender of Ukraine’s forces in #Kursk and elimination of the ‘root causes’:

1. Ukraine’s desire for #independence.
2. The #EU membership.
3. And #NATO aspirations.

It's partially aligning with Trump's stance.

(A little or nothing makes a difference, doesn't it?)

„For Gazan teacher Abdullah Mortaja, Israel's decision to cut off electricity to the war-battered territory was "a joke," having already lived with little power supply since war began more than 16 months ago.“

„As details emerged about talks between Mr Adam Boehler, the US envoy for hostages, and a top Hamas representative, Israeli leaders quietly expressed their displeasure, saying Hamas is a terrorist organisation whose words can’t be trusted or taken at face value. (…)
“We’re not an agent of Israel. We have specific interests at play,” he noted on CNN.“
