Trivia Night at West Street Dog

Hey there! Every Monday night, West Street bar and indoor dog park transforms into a trivia hotspot starting at 6:30 PM. Whether you bring a team or just show up and meet new folks, there’s always a fun atmosphere. Prizes are awarded after each round, so there’s plenty of excitement to go around. The off-leash dog park and bar are open from 4 PM to 8 PM, and while we love seeing your pups, you don’t need to bring a dog to join in the fun. Plus, we have draft beers on special for just $5. If you haven’t experienced trivia night yet, it’s definitely worth checking out—we promise a great time!

Our theme for the McGuffey Montessori School’s annual fundraiser was news station. Tom made a spinning light-up tower with our call letters. We dressed as camera operators, reporters, photographers and a producer with all the accoutrements and whatnot.

I still have absolutely zero trivia chops, but provided moral support even though I forgot the remote to the big TV that was going to be a backdrop and cycle through photos from the evening. (Wendy persevered with multiple trips to the school to grab needed cables and replacement monitor.)

Like every year, it was a hoot.

I’ve oodles of snapshots, and even more from others to pull together. Here’s a few on McGuffey’s site.

#OnThisDay in 2009, the East San José Carnegie Branch Library reopened in an expanded building that still includes the #SouthBay’s last Carnegie library. But this library is well within *Central* #SanJose. What gives?

There used to be a separate Town of East San José here. After it got annexed, its Carnegie Library joined the #SanJosePublicLibrary system and the town was mostly forgotten – except now on #OpenHistoricalMap. openhistoricalmap.org/relation openhistoricalmap.org/relation

What other #TriviaNight fodder can South Bay #OpenStreetMap contributors add to the map? Join us for our map night tonight at 7 online: meetup.com/open-source-san-jos
