Here's another #tinfoil take regarding #AI and #AGI that isn't very tinfoil...

It's gonna f**k s**t up.

At the point where AI workloads become cheaper and more effective (when NPU's will roam the land), that's when #SocialEngineering in regards to #SocialMedia will be amped up exponentially.

We're already seeing #DeepFakes now, and that's not impressive, but the shear volume of them coming out during the #Trump campaign was eye opening.

Fake accounts are a problem we can no longer ignore.

I remember a number of years ago, the crazy right wing told us #FEMA was going to invade Texas and other southern states. I'm thinking maybe FEMA has helped a boatload of good old southern boys since hurricane season began.

Bet they graciously accepted the help and made up a bunch of lies about the help. I seriously think those boys actually wear #tinfoil hats.

Real #tinfoil hat question:

If someone else had picked up your encrypted #Ubuntu laptop after a #UK airport #security check and it was lost over night and then you'd get it back from airport #police the next day who says a person had handed it in, would you continue using the device?

Facebook has certainly become a dumpster of #ai generated ”science” groups that are just honeypots for tinfoil sites.

However, these operators fool the algorithm into thinking it’s important precisely by putting on the front lies that the science-minded will want to correct, but enough will support because it fits their confirmation bias. This promotes a fight.

It’s like an industry repeating the pattern of antivaxx groups in mid 2010’s. 🤦‍♂️

Having a #tinfoil moment here.

The method behind Instagram in this case is a self‐profiling: you are being shown basically everything and you just tick off what you do not want to see, so it gets filtered down a bit but not too much, since being annoyed at what you see makes you spend time on the app, seeing more ads and engaging with these ads.

Someone figured out how to get paid for giving you busywork. I mean, can you see it? lol
