Our bounds are all inspired by Karen Hallion’s She Series artwork. For mine I chose Rey from Star Wars. Rey embodies the spirit of resistance against overwhelming oppression and shows that hope can be found even in the worst of times. As a trans woman in the US right now, I can relate to this feeling. KelsieI found this gorgeous vintage folk art style wooden Mexican frame at a thrift store. I then bought a wooden panel insert for it and cut that to size (oddball sized frame). The problem? I desperately want to paint something for it, but do not feel qualified to paint anything in such a beautiful frame. I just keep thinking that my mother is the artist and I should just let her paint something in it. I am torn. Love All the metal with baked paint and the lovely case with a speaker behind the fancy grill and a hidden compartment for wires and accessories. Very nice for the time. Love it, but no place for it. MaaikeGreat find at the thrift store: two boxes with over 100 different colours embroidery floss. Yay. Now, do I follow the strong urge to sort it by number, thus mixing up the different colours, or the equally strong urge to sort by colour, getting the numbers out of order?
