I am rereading Paper Canoe and had forgotten how much Barba used to influence my sense of physical comedy, which I love to use to just make people laugh. That kind of comedy was also heavily tied up in a previous relationship, which I have suppressed a lot of memories about. So it's really nice that, from re-reading about it, I'm learning to reinhabit.

I've been asked to focus on physicality, and so am re-reading The Paper Boat by Eugenio Barba. I'm not a natural at physicality but there's something about the way he evokes it that makes so much sense to me.
