We studied the role of the RNA binding protein ZFP36L2 in effector T cells and found how it regulated the production of IFNgamma in late T cell responses and continuous activation with tumor cells (in vitro/in vivo). In the months following hospitalization, nineteen patients suffered from long COVID, while the other ten had no after-effects.</p><p>&gt; the percentage of T4 lymphocytes engaged in a form of programmed cell death (apoptosis) was 37% in the long COVID group and 24% in the other group.
