#Symptoms

Damn it only took like 4 years of arguing with doctors that I have severe #tourettes meaning there is an extremely high chance I have #adhd and OCD too.

The adult #symptoms list is my entire personality, and it was diagnosed and NOT TREATED AT ALL as a child due to weird side effects or negligence.

I have an ADHD medication now.

#Guanfacine apparently.

I haven't taken it yet but it was prescribed.

Time for #research and #opinion from you guys, please!

Good news!
I found a flexible set of eye cups to try my 'rinse urethral meatus / orifice pre and post sex with aim of reducing UTIs' idea.

You likely need 2, to use one before sex and the other after sex, esp if no energy to visit the bathroom.

What solution would be a good non-irritating cleanser? [Update: maybe just water tbh.]

I am starting to wonder if I have a #ticdisorder that #science and #medicine hasn't even discovered yet.

Because I have #symptoms that I describe to my #doctor and #therapist about my #tourettesyndrome (which is about as bad as you could have and still function somewhat normally in working environments) they have never heard of anywhere.

That I also cannot find any #info for

I have only ever seen them in my mom, my brother and my grandpa.

I'm a #science project.

#recording myself talking at a camera to get more comfortable with #livestreaming is turning into a bit of a #research project for my #tourettes #symptoms.

I am noticing #tics I have not before, mostly in my face because I am very aware of most of the tics in my body. I can see them.

I almost never look at my own face unless I have a reason to.

I am not bothered, but I do feel like the person they point to when they need an obvious example xD

What is Hormone Replacement Therapy? (Download and archive this video.)

A hormone is a chemical messenger made by your body to send signals to some or all body cells. Some hormones are made in other bodies or through chemical processes, like other medications.

HRT is a medical treatment for certain conditions, including menopause for some people, or precocious puberty for others.
(Mostly) Older men and women also use it to affirm their gender experiences.

HRT has certain side effects on your body. You may find these desirable or unpleasant.
Any medical intervention can have therapeutic effects and side effects. Different people experience different outcomes.

Do you want or need to biohack your hormone levels to affect your body?
Please learn more from your GP, family doctor, primary care provider, or another trusted clinician with access to your personal medical records.

Some of the waiting lists can be quite long, or involve more steps than you may expect. So ask early, please!

I agree. Anyway you spin it, 70% with disabling #symptoms for more than a year should be disturbing. 30% beyond two years is a #tragedy!

This reminds me of attitudes about #Lead #Poisoning from public #water systems in the #USA. A pernicious drain or human potential and a #PublicHealth #Crisis! #WTF?! 😲

The amount of people who mix hypersomnia THE SYMPTOM to Idiopathic Hypersomnia THE RARE NEUROLOGICAL SLEEP DISORDER WITHOUT KNOWN CAUSE is staggering.

If you know the root cause - sleepiness is a symptom that can be treated by dealing with the illness/sickness/issue that is causing it. It can even be eliminated if the illness is curable or properly treatable. That is a symptom, not a disorder.

Not. The. Same. Thing.
