kayleighathena"Oh, pinfeathers!" . I started this painting a long while ago, but finally finished it recently! I adore the Sword in the Stone film - especially Archimedes. It was fun to try to capture his expression! . Second photo is the reference from the 1963 Disney film. So many great artists on that crew and Bill Peet's work is a big fave! . ToglerA couple pieces inspired by Arthurian legends. I prefer the lady of the lake, it really flowed together, very relaxing to create. While the sword in the stone fought me and ended up falling flat. I feel like the tower kills it. Too symmetrical. I "paint" using a variety of brushes and stamps. Sometimes I use photos or line art as a starting point.
