TAV CreationsJust confirmed I’ll be teaching an evening sewing class in the spring ( April to June) at the Richard Robinson Fashion Academy. I’ll cover a lot of professional and haute couture techniques in the 10 week course. The description on the website is non specific at the moment, but even once we confirm the project plan, I always personalize the lesson where I can to accommodate the students in attendance! TAV CreationsThis week I'll be cutting out a dress and jacket, co-designed with the Mom of Groom, using the <a href="https://ottawa.place/tags/satin" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#satin</a> <a href="https://ottawa.place/tags/jacquard" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#jacquard</a> from her mother's <a href="https://ottawa.place/tags/wedding" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#wedding</a> dress and some lilac <a href="https://ottawa.place/tags/silk" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#silk</a> her son - the groom - brought her years ago from a trip to Thailand. So, <a href="https://ottawa.place/tags/upcycling" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#upcycling</a> at it's best, reusing every morsel of this lovely ivory - and she's going to dye it to complement the lilac! MaaikeWeer een colorblock shirtMet een tweede colorblockshirt is er weer een extra deuk geslagen in de voorraad restjes linnen. Het past alweer zonder veel uitpuilen in één tasje! Het is min of meer hetzelfde patroon als versie 1, maar met alleen horizontale banen. Ik wilde een wat rustiger shirt, dus alleen met donkerblauw erin. MichelleSchool started this week. My brain is fighting against the fact that I have to school before my kids do. So I did the only logical thing and started a new sewing project. Avoidance for the win. It's the cardigan coat by all well sewing studio. It's thrifted fabrics. I'm attempting to make it reversible. I have way more experience sewing quilts than clothing. Ariel HansenWas gifted a sick Mothman patch, so I had to make something equally great to put it on. I think this two tone black jean jacket fits the <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/cryptidcore" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#cryptidcore</a> bill.
