Joe Wynne 🌻 🚗 ⛰️<p>One of the sumptuous summer flavors from my youth was homemade lemon ice cream, made at my grandmother's. She put the ingredients, including juice from like a dozen fresh lemons, into the 1-gallon manual freezer. </p><p>My brother and I would add ice and salt around the metal container and crank that that handle like our life depended on it. </p><p>This summer, I'm trying to replicate the tart flavor in a modern automatic machine.
