Yo no sé cuándo lo lanzará ni qué nos aguardará dentro del próximo largo de Marina, solo que sin duda lo escucharé con ganas.

No oculto que yo escuché bastante aquella "sencillez" que fue Orange Trees hace años, así de regalade soy. Aunque yo esperaba, siempre espero, un trabajo en la línea de su clásico Froot.

Ya van dos adelantos del disco, ambos de marcado jaez electrónico acompañado con distintivos marca de la casa. Todo esto es descriptivo y un halago a la vez. Marina no se disfraza de tendencias, redunda y crece sobre su propia personalidad artística. Esa era la clave.

Butterfly suena oscura, en la línea de lo que se está haciendo este año, y, no obstante, deja un regusto alegre, la oscuridad es un adorno o una excusa estética para reflejar otra rola. Para muestra, sus arreglos y los coros infantiles al estilo del pop oriental, en la línea del tema de P!nk con su hija o del dúo de FKA Twigs con North West. Encima, la tía mete su registro más lírico como antes solía, como ella sabe. Se canturrea a las pocas escuchas.

Últimamente, Cupid's Girl está acompañando desde los canales oficiales a la mariposa de Marina. Es esta una canción más directa, de ganchos habituales bien calzados, elegidos con gusto y sonando como quiere la artista, con una distorsión que le sienta de fábula. Sin embargo, esa onda radiofriendly, aun manteniendo su calidad, le resta parte de la originalidad que desprende Butterfly. La melodía es más normalita. Ya lo dice el refrán: aunque la melodía meh se vista con mucha producción meh se queda. Lo bueno es que en escuchas casuales entra muy bien esta mierda.
