Dang, Attack No. 1 still holds up in its first episodes! This is a rewatch for me so I'm particularly excited to see if I pick anything else new up this time around.

There was not tooooo much girl suffering this week, but it's early on. The unhinged nature of old shojo can only be contained for so long...

@aarbrk @aiono not really, but there's only a small amount of anime that does this so it's not hard to avoid. Plus there's entire genres where you're unlikely to find any of this garbage, like #shojo. Medalist is a good example of a recent show which not only depicts child characters without being creepy, but is genuinely heartwarming: animefeminist.com/medalist-epi
