Shakatak - "Dark is the night"
Modern jazz music, with "verses" replaced by "instrumental figures". Jill Saward doing her usual "looks a bit like Bonnie Tyler" impression.

All very pleasant for a yuppie wine bar, and it would have been brilliant if they'd teamed up with George Benson.

What's the link to John Peel? Bill Sharpe, the keyboard player with Shakatak, had been Peel's studio manager at the Radio 1 Egton House complex.
