Scribbble Anime<p><strong>A really disappointing flipping of the script Zenshu</strong></p><p></p> <p>Seriously had high hopes for Zenshu, as it looked interesting. In fact, the concept is interesting, rewriting or flipping the script of your favourite show. Even changing the fate of characters that befalls them in the show. Sadly, there are issues as zenshu progressed. Scribbble Anime<p><strong>2 Winter Seasonal 2025 Disappointments</strong></p><p>Yup the winter seasonal shows are coming to an end. As usual, I become frumpy and grumpy as to which two shows disappointed me for the winter season of 2025. </p><p></p><p>So, what are the two shows that disappointed me this time around. </p> <p><strong><strong>Zenshu</strong></strong></p> <p>Studio: Mappa</p><p>Episodes: 12</p> <p>Despite me enjoying the series, I can’t help but feel underwhelmed by it. I did a <a href="https://scribbbleanime.wordpress.com/2025/01/31/zenshuu-first-impression/" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">first impression</a>, whilst it showed promise, at first. As it went on, the characters aren’t gelling. The potential love chemistry between Natsuko and Luke is very dry, overall characters development in general is very lacklustre. Animation is top notch. </p> <p><strong><strong>Grade</strong></strong></p> <p><strong>C-</strong></p> <p><strong><strong>Unnamed Memory S2</strong></strong></p> <p>Studio: Engi</p><p>Episodes: 12</p> <p>I’ll keep this short. Which will be unusual for me. I’m very disappointed in unnamed memory S2. Engi didn’t improve, I’ve become uninterested in the series, however, will continue out of stubbornness and just to get it over and done with. But his classmate, “heroine-level beauty” Kubo, always notices him and is there to tease him. Anyone can become special to someone, but it might be a little too early to call these feelings “love.” Perhaps this story is still two-steps from being a romantic comedy–let’s call it a sweet comedy where a background character becomes visible!</p><p><a href="https://www.anime-planet.com/anime/kubo-wont-let-me-be-invisible" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Anime-Planet</a></p></blockquote><p><strong>Being invisible sure is hard!</strong></p><p>Just watching the first episode, have to say there is a bit of myself in Junta. Junta is a quiet, reserved student, not the best at studying – which mirrors myself when I was in high school, a quiet person that always got noticed for all the wrong (and embarrassing) things, yeah high school life is merciless. Although I didn’t get the invisible man treatment extreme as Junta does.</p><p>So, I entirely get that when he does do something, people will take more notice, as it is that out of character of him. I did find his facial drawing a bit jarring at first, as the episode progressed, I got used to it. I suspect it was done intentionally to differentiate between him and Kubo. Who is colourful and bright, in contrast to Junta who is of bland or washed colours, emphasising that he is a mob character that blends into the background. </p>Kubo, the girl that can see Kubo<p>Kubo, I did get small chuckles out of her, obviously she is deliberately teasing him, but actually showing her feelings towards him discreetly.
