Benjamin Allocco Is Writing<p>Scream VI was as much of a mixed bag as I expected.</p><p>The "we recognize we are in a horror movie" trope has been tired since Scream 2, and there hasnt been a single compelling baddie since the original, but on the positive side: great performances, pretty effective gore, competent directing, and some great setpieces and chases.</p><p>That said, lackluster writing left and right. Doesn't anyone in these movies own an alarm system? Is Ghost Face truly a ghost, bc it sure seems like he can just pass through walls into houses/apartments at will. And why the hell would anyone in these films NOT be armed to the teeth at all times at this point?</p><p><a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/horror" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>horror</span></a> <a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/scream" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>scream</span></a> <a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/screamvi" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>screamvi</span></a> <a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/scream6" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>scream6</span></a> <a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/scarymovies" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>scarymovies</span></a> <a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/scarymovies" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>scarymovies</span></a></p>
