For those involved in #scouting , can you share how your troop(or one you heard of) ran youth leadership #elections ? Did you do it in meeting or digitally to allow people to vote if they can’t attend? Did you use a simple majority vote or a more complex system? Etc. Asking for a possible reform in my own troop. (Other ideas/suggestions for smt like this welcome)

I'm the records keeper for my #ScoutsBSA troop (50ish youth) and keeping up with rank advancement has been the devil. They rank up but don't tell me/show me their book so we don't know they need X.

3 weeks ago it hit me, I can modify the paper sign-in sheet to list their current rank and since then, we've had probably 8 lads discover they haven't told me about their progression.

The best was the kid who went from nothing to First Class (4 ranks)

7 days of camping at BSA Summer Camp in eastern Wisconsin is done. I again lead the troop for the week. 17 people (including adults) is a lot to manage but it was good. We camped early this year and the weather was good. I wish I could rest but my wife and daughter are headed to Girl Scout Adventure Camp in SW Michigan tomorrow!
