Wen<p>Afternoon run</p><p>12k, road, very damp as Storm Amy embraced us.</p><p>No, no photos of the road in the horizontal rain, just the aftermath as the dug dries out. Looking a little sad - we came back too soon. Damaged by rain escaping from a broken gutter, now fixed. I’m pondering Toupret Masonry Repair from ScrewFix to fix as alternative to sand/cement as it’s a waste of a bag of cement for this little fix.</p>
Undiscovered Scotland<p>The superb Commendator's House Museum, forming part of Melrose Abbey in the Scottish Borders. Wen<p>Afternoon run.</p><p>When you are feeling down, getting out on a gorgeous afternoon soothes the soul. Road run, 7.4k, cut short as I walked the last k with a sore ankle. Seems to be fine now, but I will take it easy tommorow. Total of 21k today and I think it might be a bit less in the morning. I’ve made my target for the month and 5 days to go. Wen<p>On our way back from Ettrick we stoped to get a little milk in Selkirk and took a walk round the lochan in Selkirk at The Haining. Wen<p>The days run. We warmed up on the Mintos and then got out to the Ettrick valley to do ‘the triangle’. Wen<p>Lunchtime run and forage</p><p>What I love about Scotland is the weather (and the hills, Borders and Highlands hold equal if different pleasures). How different from yesterday (just counter clockwise).</p><p>12k road. Slowed by blackberries to accompany my banana and a quick look at the target of tomorrows foraging - Jelly here we come. Wen<p>Morning walk</p><p>A gorgeous walk - picked up the pair that I am getting while their owner recovers from hip surgery - the three musketeers (our collie, a poodle and a lab). </p><p>I didn’t know until recently that the poodle is a notorious hen muncher - a preview of that when they disturbed a pheasant, who got out of the way PDQ.
