#Opensource #funding is important, but it should be about:

"how do we allow those devs to live a decent life while they provide good, usefull & truly free open source software."

True #FOSS is indeed about #gifting.

@mcrocker pretty shure that #Tweetbot's #ToS do cover "exhonering circumstances" and "external forces out of control of #Tapbots" like #Twitter literally #rugpulling all #devs and banning all #3rd party clients.

@dao @torpig @thatguyoverthere @aral I mean I know folks that hat the talent and timing perfect and were able to go from "broke - waiting for eviction notice" to "could repay every loan with interest and still have a bit of change to fix my car", but the tech got burned by greedy assholes exploiting #FimancialIlliterates and #TechIlliterates at the same time for #rugpulling & #BiggerFools / #PyramidScams.
